Provocation
Provocation occurs,when a person is
considered to have committed a criminal
act, partly because of a 'proceeding set of
event',that might cause a 'reasonable person'
to 'lose self control'
CAUSATION
is the 'causal relationship' between the
defendant's conduct,and end result.
this makes less moral culpable, than if
the act was 'premeditated',and done out
of pur malice.

it affects the quality of the person's state
of mind as an indicator of moral
blameworthiness.
Provocation,is often a mitigating factor in
sentencing
It rarely serves as a legal defence ie
it does not stop the defendant, from being
guilty of a crime,
it may however, lead to a lesser punishment
